Dinas Perhubungan Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota merupakan unsur pelaksana Otonomi Daerah yang melaksanakan unsur Pemerintah Daerah yang dipimpin oleh seorang Kepala Dinas yang berkedudukan di bawah dan bertanggung jawab kepada Bupati melalui Sekretaris Daerah.
(Lima Puluh Kota Departement of Transportation is an element of implementing Regional Autonomy that carries out elements of the Regional Government led by a Head of Office who is hold the position under and is responsible to the Regent through the Regional Secretary.)
Berdasarkan Peraturan Bupati Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota Nomor 118 Tahun 2021, Dinas Perhubungan mempunyai tugas melaksanakan urusan Pemerintah Daerah dibidang Perhubungan serta tugas pembantu. Dalam melaksanakan tugas pokok Dinas Perhubungan mempunyai fungsi sebagai berikut :
(Based on Regent of Lima Puluh Kota District Regulations Number 118 Year 2021, the Transportation Departement has the task of carrying out the affairs of the Regional Government in the field of Transportation as well as the duty of aides. In carrying out the main tasks of the Department of Transportation has the following functions:)
a. Perumusan kebijakan teknis bidang Perhubungan;
(Formulation of technical policy in the field of Transportation)
b. Pelaksanakan kebijakan teknis bidang Perhubungan;
(Implement technical policies in the field of Transportation)
c. Pelaksanaan evaluasi dan pelaporan bidang Perhubungan;
(Implementation of evaluation and reporting in the field of Transportation)
d. Pelaksanaan administrasi Dinas; dan
(Implementation of service administration; and)
e. Pelaksanaan fungsi lain yang diberikan oleh Bupati terkait tugas dan fungsinya
